Infinix has expanded its Note 40 series with the introduction of the Infinix Note 40X 5G, now available in Malaysia. The Infinix Note 40x features MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G processor, the phone is positioned within the budget-friendly 5G segment of the smartphone market, priced at RM869.00 (approximately PHP10,999).
Infinix Note 40X 5G Features
The Infinix Note 40X 5G boasts a spacious 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth and responsive user experience. The front features a punch-hole camera, while the rear sports a triple camera setup reminiscent of iPhone designs. This design aesthetic is prevalent in entry-level and midrange phones.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, it features extended RAM capabilities, boosting it to 24GB and XBoost New-Gen Gaming Engine to enhance gaming experience. The phone runs on Android™ 14 with XOS14 on top and is equipped with dual stereo speakers powered by DTS for an enhanced audio experience.
The camera system includes a 108MP main camera alongside a 2MP macro lens, while the front camera features an 8MP sensor. One of the key features of the camera is dual video recording, enabling users to capture footage from both the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
However, the Infinix Note 40X 5G has a standard 5,000mAh battery capacity, with a drawback being its limited 18W fast charging support.
The Infinix Note 40X 5G is currently available on Shopee Malaysia, but there is no official word yet on its release date in the Philippines. The 12GB/256GB variant is priced at RM869.00, which convert to approximately PHP10,999 in Philippine pesos.
Overall, the Infinix Note 40X 5G offers a compelling combination of 5G connectivity, a large display, and a powerful processor at a budget-friendly price. Nevertheless, the limited charging speed may be a drawback for some users. Despite this, the phone’s overall performance and features make it a competitive option within the entry-level and midrange smartphone market.
