According to Digital Chat Station, a reliable source and leaker on Weibo, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra will feature a flat display with LIPO packaging for ultra-narrow bezels, instead of a micro-quad curved screen. The screen is also rumored to be a 2K resolution display from BOE’s flexible OLED panel.
Rumors also suggest a ceramic texture back cover, a more rounded body, and a circular camera setup with symmetrically arranged lenses. A Weibo post by “Perfectly Arranged Digital” suggests support for satellite communication.
Digital Chat Station also suggests the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 series processor—likely the Snapdragon 8 Elite—a chip currently equipping other flagship smartphones.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is rumored to include a 6500mAh battery with 100W wired SuperVOOC charging and 50W wireless charging. It’s also expected to run Android 15 with ColorOS 15, feature a large X-axis motor, and a single-point ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Camera rumors include a 1-inch 50MP LYT-900 OIS main camera, a 50MP LYT-701 telephoto 3x zoom macro camera, a 50MP Sony LYT 600 periscope OIS camera with 6x zoom, and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 ultrawide angle sensor.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is rumored to launch in February in China, with a global launch expected in March 2025 alongside the Oppo Find X8 Mini. The phone is expected to pack impressive specifications and features, making it a strong contender in the flagship smartphone market.
