Tecno Mobile also went to Barcelona, Spain for MWC2025 to unveil its new Camon 40 series lineup. There are four models in this lineup: the Camon 40, Camon 40 Pro, Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G, and Tecno Camon 40 Premier.

The Tecno Camon 40 series will be released on March 9, 2025, in Uganda, East Africa, as seen on their pinned post on X, with pre-order perks. The official prices of the Camon 40 series will be announced on its release date.

Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G Takes the Crown #1 in DXOMARK Under $600

One of the main highlights of the Camon 40 series is being the first time in Camon history to be involved in DXOMARK ranking. The Camon 40 Pro 5G was reviewed by DXOMARK and received a number 1 ranking under $600. That’s not all; it is also the first smartphone of 2025 to earn DXOMARK’s Smart Choice label.

The Camon series is known for its focus on camera technology, starting with improved low-light performance in early models and evolving to include AI-powered features like AI beautification and super night mode. All models in the Camon 40 series have a 50MP main camera with different sensors. The Camon 40 Pro 5G has a 50MP Sony’s LYT-700C with OIS and features extraordinary light sensitivity with a 1/1.56″ large sensor and 2.0μm fused pixels, which deliver exceptional image quality. Tecno Mobile has shared on X some shots by the Camon 40 Pro 5G in Barcelona, Spain; you can see the images below.

The Camon 40 series also has the same 6.78″ FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, except the Camon Premier, which has a slightly smaller 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED screen and up to a 144Hz refresh rate. For the chipsets they use, the Camon 40 and Camon 40 Pro are powered by the Mediatek Helio G100, while the Camon 40 Pro 5G has the Mediatek Dimensity 7300 inside, and the Camon 40 Premier has the Mediatek Dimensity 8350.

The official prices for the Camon 40 series will be announced on its March 9th, 2025 release date in Uganda, East Africa. Availability in other regions, including the Philippines, has yet to be announced.
