Oppo has recently launched the Oppo A5 in China, featuring a triple IP rating and Durable Technology 3.0 for shockproof resistance. The device boasts a natural mineral texture with Crystal Diamond Powder, Mica Blue, and Zircon Black colorways. Sales begin today, March 21, 2025, in China, with a starting price of CNY 1,299 for the 8GB/128GB storage variant.
Oppo A5 5G Features
One of the phone’s main features is its durability, with Durable Technology 3.0 (shockproof), and CQC (China Quality Certification) with triple IP rating IP66/68/69 for water and dust resistance. The phone measures 161.57 x 74.47 x 7.65 mm and weighs approximately 189 grams, except the black model, which is slightly lighter at 185 grams.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 midrange processor and paired with a 4300 mm² high-efficiency VC heat spreader for heat dissipation. Memory options offer 8GB and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB, 256GB, and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs Android 15 with ColorOS 15 out of the box.
The phone screen is a 6.70-inch flexible 10-bit AMOLED display, FHD+ (2412 × 1080 pixels) resolution at 394 PPI, and protected by Crystal Shield Glass. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1200 nits peak brightness.
The Oppo A5’s camera design features a circular module with lenses arranged in a square formation within the circle. The main sensor is a 50MP f/1.8 AF EIS + 2MP f/2.4 monochrome, while the front features an 8MP f/2.0 punch-hole selfie shooter.
The battery features a 6500mAh capacity supporting USB Type-C 45W Super Flash Charge. Other features include an under-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers (300% volume), NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 5.

The Oppo A5 is available for purchase in China starting today, March 21, 2025, from the Oppo Store and retailers. Availability in other regions, including the Philippines, has not yet been announced. Prices are as follows:
