Acer is known for producing computer hardware and electronics. It is known for its diverse product range, which includes laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, monitors, and gaming PCs. Meanwhile, the company has expanded its portfolio by entering the mobile market. Yesterday (April 15th, 2025 at 12:00 PM), it introduced its first smartphones in India, the Acer Super ZX and the Acer Super ZX Pro. These phones will go on sale on Amazon India starting April 25th, 2025.
The Acer Super ZX, priced starting at ₹9,999, features a 6.7-inch LCD FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 800 nits of brightness. Powering the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, coupled with RAM options ranging from 4GB to 8GB and storage options from 64GB to 256GB.
The camera setup includes a 64MP main sensor (Sony IMX682), a 13MP front camera, and additional 2MP macro and depth sensors. A large 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging completes the package. The phone runs on stock Android 15 and includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and dual speakers. It has an IP50 rating and weighs 200 grams. The Super ZX will be available for purchase starting April 25th.
The higher-end Acer Super ZX Pro, starting at ₹17,999, offers a significant upgrade. It sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and enhanced 1000 nits of brightness. Under the hood, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor provides the power, paired with RAM options ranging from 6GB to 12GB and storage options from 128GB to 512GB.
The camera system is improved with a 64MP main sensor (Sony LYT-882 with OIS), a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera remains at 13MP. Similar to the Super ZX, it houses a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and runs on stock Android 15. Additional features include an in-screen fingerprint scanner, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6, a glass back, and an IP64 rating. The phone weighs a lighter 182 grams.
Both phones offer a range of storage and RAM configurations to cater to different user needs and budgets. Acer is clearly aiming to compete aggressively in the mid-range smartphone segment with these new releases. The availability of various RAM and storage options ensures there’s a Super ZX and Super ZX Pro model to suit a wide range of users.
