Meizu launched two new smartphones in China, the Meizu Note 16 series. The base model is priced at ¥799, while the Pro model starts at ¥1,499. Both are now available for purchase via Meizu Mall.

Both devices sport a 6.78-inch display; the base model has an FHD+ IPS LCD screen (120Hz), while the Pro model features a 1.5K OLED display (144Hz). Both devices feature high-frequency PWM dimming. The base model has up to 1050 nits peak brightness, while the Pro model has up to 4500 nits.

Under the hood, the Meizu Note 16 is powered by a Unisoc T8200 processor, while the Meizu Note 16 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. Both run on Android 15 with Flyme AIOS 2 and offer storage options starting at 8GB to 12GB of RAM and 256GB up to 512GB of storage.

For cameras, both have a 50MP main camera sensor. The base model sports a 50MP (Samsung S5KJN1) + 2MP depth (GalaxyCore GC02M1B). The Pro model uses a 50MP (OmniVision OV50C40) main camera + 8MP ultra-wide (Hi864). They both use an 8MP (Hynix Hi864) selfie shooter.

For the battery, the base model is fueled by a massive 6600mAh battery while the Pro model has 6200mah capacity. The base model has 40W fast charging, while the Pro model uses more faster 80W fast charging.

Connectivity features include NFC, an IR blaster, WIFI 5/6, and Bluetooth connectivity on both devices.

Other features of the Meizu Note 16 include an IP65 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a single firing speaker, and an AI button. The Meizu Note 16 Pro has a higher IP68/IP69 rating, dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a Z-axis motor, and also features a dedicated AI button.

Price and Availability

The Meizu Note 16 starts at ¥799 for the 8GB/128GB storage variant, while the Pro model starts at ¥1499 for the 8GB/256GB variant. These new phones are now available for purchase in China via the Meizu Mall website. However, availability in other regions, including India and the Philippines, has not yet been announced. Prices for other storage variants are listed below.
