Aside from the Tecno Spark Go 2, the brand also launched the Tecno Spark 40 in Africa. The phone is now available in that country with a price of NGN 142,700, or about ₱5.2k in Philippine pesos. Availability in other regions, especially the Philippines, is expected to debut in July 2025.
Affordable Phone with IP64 Rating
The phone sports a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HD+ (720×1600) resolution. The phone features a minimalist design and is available in black, silver, and blue colorways.
Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio G81 octa-core processor paired with an Arm Mali-G52 GPU. The memory storage offers 8GB of RAM + an additional 8GB of expandable RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 15 with a HiOS 15.1 skin on top and boasts Tecno AI features.
At the back panel, it houses a 50MP main camera alongside a secondary sensor and LED flash. On the front, it has an 8MP punch-hole selfie shooter.
For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 5, dual SIM 4G network, Bluetooth, GPS, and FreeLink connectivity, which can provide free calls even without a signal.
For the battery, it packs a 5200mAh capacity coupled with USB-C 45W flash charging. Other details include an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, an infrared remote control, and dual stereo speakers tuned by DTS.
The Tecno Spark 40 is a strong contender in the entry-level budget segment of the market. It is now available in Uganda and other regions in Africa with a suggested retail price of NGN 142,700.
