Fresh leaks from Chinese social media platform Weibo have unveiled preliminary details about Oppo’s upcoming Reno 15 series, signaling a shift toward compact smartphones paired with high-end hardware.
According to early rumors, the lineup is expected to debut in China in November 2025, featuring two confirmed models—the Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro—and a third “small cup” variant still under consideration.
The standard Oppo Reno 15 is rumored to feature a 6.32-inch flat OLED display with a crisp 1.5K resolution. Inside, both models are expected to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8450 chipset.
The device boasts a flagship-level camera system featuring a 200MP Samsung HP5 primary sensor. This is reportedly complemented by a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. A 50MP front-facing camera, a durable metal frame, and IP68/69 dust and water resistance complete the package.
The Reno 15 Pro caters to power users with a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED screen and additional premium touches like 50W wireless charging and a glass back panel.
It shares the same Dimensity 8450 chipset, rear cameras, and IP rating as its sibling. However, the Pro model’s bigger footprint and enhanced charging capabilities position it as the flagship contender.
Notably, leaks suggest Oppo might cancel the global release of the Reno 15 Pro Max, reserving this top-tier model exclusively for the Chinese market.
Consequently, international buyers would only have access to the standard Reno 15 and Pro versions. The fate of a third 6.59-inch version remains uncertain, with speculation that it could either be canceled or repurposed as a smaller alternative.
Oppo is known for blending affordability with innovative design in the midrange segment. The Reno series’ new features, like periscope lenses and premium materials, indicate Oppo’s focus on a high-end mid-range market. Though official details are still under wraps, current leaks suggest the 2025 lineup will prioritize compact design without sacrificing performance.
