Retroid has announced the Pocket 6, its latest Android-based handheld gaming console, featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Designed for emulation enthusiasts and Android gamers, the Pocket 6 aims to deliver smoother gameplay across various titles.
The base model includes 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, priced at $209. The upgraded variant offers 12GB RAM and 256GB storage for $259.
Both versions support expandable storage via microSD cards. The device features the same 5.5-inch AMOLED display found in its predecessor, the Pocket G2, with a 1920×1080 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It measures 210.4 × 86.6 × 17.2 mm and weighs 320 grams.

Inside, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2—a chipset comparable to flagship smartphones from 2022 to 2023—the Pocket 6 is designed to handle demanding emulators and high-frame-rate games.
Fueling the device is a 6000mAh battery with 27W fast charging, which, combined with an active cooling system, should sustain performance during extended gaming sessions.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB 3.1 Type-C port with DisplayPort 4K@60fps output for external displays. The device also features analog L2/R2 triggers, hall-effect joysticks, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and runs Android 13 with support for over-the-air updates.
Retroid plans to begin shipping the Pocket 6 in early January 2026.
