Rumors have surfaced regarding Oppo’s next foldable phone, with leaks from Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station suggesting the alleged “Oppo Find N6” may feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The tipster claims that the device could be the first foldable to launch with this new flagship processor, potentially including satellite connectivity in its premium variant.

Digital Chat Station stated:
“Exclusive; the flagship lineup’s strategy is to first release a foldable phone, the industry’s first Snapdragon 8E5 large foldable phone, which has already been registered and features satellite communication in its high-end version;
previously mentioned, the 8E5 imaging flagship and the D9500(+) small-screen flagship are aiming for the top four spots and striving for the top three, with the hardware basically finalized, featuring a core upgrade to a 200MP IMX09E main camera + IMX09A 3X± periscope telephoto lens, and a decent super telephoto lens; the small-screen phone will be a newly released 6.3, with a 7K battery, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and is currently being accelerated.”
While these details remain unverified, the leak suggests Oppo is prioritizing the foldable’s release over its standard flagship lineup. Camera specifications are rumored to include a 200MP main sensor (possibly Sony’s IMX09E) and a 3x periscope telephoto lens (IMX09A), although Oppo has not commented on these claims. Earlier reports from Notebookcheck referenced similar upgrades to imaging hardware and battery capacity for the Oppo Find N6.
Furthermore, Digital Chat Station also mentioned a smaller 6.3-inch phone in development, reportedly packing a 7,000mAh battery and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. However, the launch timeline for either device has not been confirmed, with sources indicating that production is “being accelerated.”
