Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Z TriFold in Korea, highlighting its unique folding design, powerful processor, and enhanced battery life. The official announcement, made via press release on their website, detailed the device’s features, design, and specifications.

The Galaxy Z TriFold features an entirely new folding mechanism, expanding the concept of foldable phones into uncharted territory. When unfolded, the device boasts a massive 10-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display (2160 x 1584) offering 269 pixels per inch (ppi). This display supports an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring fluid scrolling and enhanced responsiveness. Users can expect vibrant colors with 1600 nits peak brightness, making it ideal for outdoor use.
The cover display is no slouch either, featuring a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel (2520 x 1080, 21:9 aspect ratio), with an impressive 2600 nits peak brightness for clarity in bright environments. Both screens are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, ensuring durability for those who value both style and substance.
Folded, the Z TriFold measures 159.2 x 75.0 x 12.9 mm, making it compact enough to fit comfortably in your hand or pocket. When unfolded, it expands to 159.2 x 214.1 x 3.9 mm, resembling a mini-tablet, perfect for multitasking, media consumption, or gaming on the go. The device weighs in at 309g, offering a sturdy yet premium feel.

The Z TriFold features a versatile camera setup, including a 200MP HP2 Ultra-Wide main camera with Dual Pixel autofocus and a 120˚ field of view, complemented by a second 12MP Ultra-Wide lens. It also includes a 10MP Telephoto Camera with 3x optical zoom, 30x digital zoom, PDAF, and OIS. The front of the device houses a 10MP Selfie Camera and a 10MP Main Camera.
At its core, the Galaxy Z TriFold is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, providing lightning-fast performance across all applications, from gaming to productivity. The device is available in two configurations: 16GB of RAM paired with either 512GB or 1TB of storage.
To keep up with the demands of heavy use, the Z TriFold features a 5,600mAh three-cell battery, which supports 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Samsung promises that users will experience long-lasting battery life, even with the device’s large display and high-end components.
The device runs on Android 16, Samsung’s latest Android iteration, with the company’s proprietary OneUI 8 skin on top. This software experience optimizes multitasking on the large foldable screen, enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of the device. Samsung’s OneUI ensures that users can take full advantage of the TriFold’s unique form factor, whether they’re working, gaming, or watching content.
The phone has earned an IP48 rating, which means it’s resistant to dust and can withstand water exposure in low-pressure conditions. The device is designed with durability in mind, crafted in a sophisticated Crafted Black color variant, making it both elegant and resilient.
Additionally, Samsung has introduced an exclusive offer: customers who purchase the Galaxy Z TriFold will receive a 6-month trial of Google AI Pro, enabling them to experience cutting-edge AI features for enhanced user interaction, productivity, and media.
