MANILA – Philippine digital TV network NET25 has given its broadcast setup a major update for this year’s New Year’s Eve show at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan. The network paired fresh technology with a lineup of popular artists and hosts for the 2026 New Year’s Eve countdown event.

Working with Northview Solutions and using tools from TVU Networks, NET25 switched to internet-based (IP) transmission for the live coverage. This helped the team cut down on costs while still delivering clear, reliable content to millions of viewers across the country.
NET25 has been on air since 1999, and as the industry has evolved, the team knew they needed to update their systems without breaking the bank. The Philippine Arena is Asia’s biggest indoor venue, with space for 55,000 people, and it added extra challenges. The network needed to send high-quality video in real time, manage multiple cameras at once, and get their staff up to speed on new gear quickly.

The new system uses TVU Grid to route and share video signals over the internet. It lets the team send footage from one point to many places smoothly, keeps delays to barely a split second, and is easy enough for staff to learn fast. By moving away from old satellite and dedicated line setups, the network saved money on equipment and training while making the whole broadcast process simpler and more flexible.
For viewers, the change means they get the same great picture quality they’re used to. It also sets NET25 up to handle bigger events and expand its reach down the line without needing extra gear to share signals across different locations.
The show itself was a night of music and celebration. Well-known OPM (Original Pilipino Music) acts like JUMANJI, SUNKISSED LOLA, SHAMROCK, and Arnel Pineda took the stage, and Net25 personalities also joined in. The evening was hosted by Jiro Custodio, Gianna Llanes, and other familiar faces from the network.
The broadcast shows how new internet-based tools can help local broadcasters keep up with changing times while still making sure viewers get the quality they expect. It’s a big step forward for how live events are brought to Filipino homes.
