Motorola has confirmed the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Motorola Signature, scheduled to debut on January 6, 2026, at Lenovo Tech World during CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The launch event will be livestreamed on the official Motorola YouTube channel. In India, the debut will take place on January 7, 2026.

The specifications were shared by leaker Evan Blass on X, while the launch details were officially confirmed by Motorola on X.

Hardware and Performance

The Motorola Signature will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, built on a 3nm process. The device will be available with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, paired with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

It runs Android 16 out of the box, with Motorola committing to up to seven years of OS upgrades and security updates. Security features include an on-screen ultrasonic fingerprint reader, face unlock, and ThinkShield protection.

Display and Design

The smartphone features a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a Super HD resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels, delivering 446ppi and a 95.23% screen-to-body ratio. Display features include Dolby Vision, HDR10+, LTPO Always-On Display, 165Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling, and a peak brightness of 6,200 nits. The panel supports 10-bit color, 100% DCI-P3, and carries Pantone Validated Color and SkinTone certifications.

The device measures 162.1 x 76.4 x 6.99mm and weighs 186 grams. It features a linen- or twill-inspired rear finish, an aircraft-grade aluminum frame, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front. Durability ratings include IP68/IP69 water protection and MIL-STD-810H certification.

Battery and Charging

The Motorola Signature is equipped with a 5,200mAh silicon-carbon battery. Charging options include 90W TurboPower wired charging, 50W wireless charging, 10W wireless reverse charging, and 5W wired reverse charging. Motorola claims up to 41 hours of battery life, with specific usage estimates covering video playback, gaming, recording, social media, and music streaming.

Camera System

The rear camera setup includes:

  • 50MP main camera (Sony LYTIA 828) with OIS and f/1.6 aperture
  • 50MP ultra-wide camera with macro support
  • 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x Super Zoom

The front camera features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 500 sensor. Camera software includes features such as Night Vision, Long Exposure, Portrait Mode, Google Lens, Pantone color validation, and Adobe Scan integration.

Video recording supports 8K Dolby Vision at 30fps, 4K Dolby Vision up to 60fps, and slow-motion recording up to 240fps in Full HD.

Audio, Connectivity, and Sensors

Audio is handled by dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Sound by Bose, Hi-Res Audio, and Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound. The device includes three microphones and uses USB Type-C for audio output.

Connectivity options include 5G (sub-6), Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, dual Nano-SIM support, and extensive global band coverage. Location services include GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and related technologies.

Sensors onboard include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, SAR sensor, sensor hub, and magnetometer. Voice control is powered by Google Gemini.

In-Box Contents

Inside the box, Motorola will include a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, SIM tool, documentation, a 90W TurboPower charger, and Signature packaging accessories, including a fragrance and thank-you card.
