Motorola has officially entered the book-style foldable smartphone segment with the launch of the Motorola Razr Fold at CES 2026. This marks a significant expansion of the Razr lineup, which has historically focused on clamshell-style foldable devices.
Motorola Razr Fold Features
The Motorola Razr Fold features a large 8.09-inch LTPO OLED foldable internal display with 2K resolution, designed to deliver smoother visuals and adaptive refresh rates. When folded, users interact with a 6.6-inch OLED external cover display, allowing access to apps, notifications, and multitasking without opening the device.
Motorola is offering the Razr Fold in Pantone-certified color options, including Blackened Blue and Lilly White, reinforcing the company’s continued collaboration with Pantone for color accuracy and design identity.
Camera Specifications
The Razr Fold is equipped with a triple rear camera system, highlighted by a 50MP Sony Lytia primary sensor. Accompanying it are:
- 50MP ultra-wide camera with macro capabilities
- 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera
For selfies and video calls, the device includes:
- 20MP internal front camera for unfolded use
- 32MP external front camera optimized for cover display shooting
Performance and Software
Running on Android 16, the Motorola Razr Fold comes with the company’s latest Hello UX, offering customization features tailored for large foldable displays. Motorola has also integrated a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
The device supports the Motorola Pen Ultra, expanding productivity features such as note-taking, sketching, and precision input on the large foldable screen.

While Motorola has confirmed the core specifications and design elements, pricing details were not announced initially. The company has now stated that shipping will start on January 8, 2026, with additional information shared as part of this update.
