Pricing details for Valve’s long-rumored Steam Machine may have surfaced online, following listings discovered on the websites of two major retailers in the Czech Republic. The information was uncovered through hidden structure source code on the retailers’ pages, both revealing identical pricing figures, which has fueled speculation about the device’s final retail cost.

The discovery was first shared by a verified account on X (formerly Twitter), Hajedan | WolfSWAP.app, who posted screenshots showing the extracted source code from the retailer websites. According to the post, the prices appeared on Smarty.cz and Alza.cz, two of the largest electronics retailers in the country, suggesting the data may have originated from the same distributor or internal listing system.

Earlier leaks from these retailers indicated that a 2TB Steam Machine model was priced at just over $1,050 on Smarty.cz, while Alza.cz listed it at just under $1,200 before value-added tax (VAT). Once VAT was applied, the estimated retail price for the 2TB configuration climbed to around $1,300. These figures already placed the Steam Machine well above last year’s widely circulated estimate of approximately $699.99.

More recent report leaks now suggest slightly lower pricing, but still well above earlier expectations. The latest figures point to a Steam Machine priced at roughly $950 for the 512GB model, increasing to around $1,070 for the 2TB variant. This places the expected price range firmly around the $1,000 mark, depending on storage configuration and regional taxes.

The leaked pricing has also drawn comparisons to ongoing rumors surrounding Microsoft’s rumored Xbox Magnus hardware, which has been speculated to cost anywhere between $600 and over $1,000. However, specific price points such as $699 or $899 for Xbox Magnus have not been widely confirmed, leaving Steam Machine as one of the more expensive rumored gaming devices if the Czech listings prove accurate.

In terms of performance, previously leaked specifications suggest the Steam Machine’s GPU performance would be on par with, or slightly below, the PlayStation 5. If accurate, the higher-than-expected pricing could raise questions among consumers about value positioning, especially in a market already crowded with consoles and handheld gaming PCs.

It is important to note that Valve has not officially confirmed any pricing details. The company has yet to announce a final retail price or detailed launch plan, and all current figures are based on retailer listings and leaks rather than official statements. Valve has only indicated that the Steam Machine is targeting a 2026 launch window.

Until Valve makes an official announcement, the leaked prices should be treated as unconfirmed. Still, the consistency across multiple retailer listings suggests that the Steam Machine may debut at a significantly higher price point than initially anticipated.
