Honor has unveiled the Magic 8 Pro Air in China, adding a lighter and slimmer option to its flagship lineup while retaining high-end hardware and features.

The Magic 8 Pro Air is built around a 6.31-inch flat OLED display with a resolution of 2640 x 1216. The panel supports a 1–120Hz LTPO refresh rate, HDR, and reaches up to 6,000 nits of local peak brightness.
Honor also highlights 4,320Hz PWM dimming and ultra-slim, uniform bezels measuring just 1.08mm, giving the device a compact footprint compared with most flagship phones.
Powering the handset is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS storage. Honor positions the device as a premium performer despite its lightweight build, which measures 6.1mm thick and weighs 155 grams.

Battery capacity stands at 5,500mAh, with support for 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. On the software side, the phone runs Android 16 with MagicOS 10 on top.
For the cameras, It feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera using OmniVision’s OV50M sensor. The rear setup includes a 50-megapixel main camera (OV50Q) with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera that also supports macro shots, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom and OIS.
Additional features include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a solid-state AI Key, stereo speakers, NFC, an IR blaster, and an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone uses an aluminum frame with a glass-fibre back.
In China, the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is priced as follows:
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: CNY 4,999 (around $700 / PHP 42,699)
- 12GB + 512GB: CNY 5,299 (around $740 / PHP 45,199)
- 16GB + 512GB: CNY 5,599 (around $780 / PHP 47,799)
- 16GB + 1TB: CNY 5,999 (around $835 / PHP 51,199)
Color options include Fairy Purple, Light Orange, Feather White, and Shadow Black.
The Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is currently available for purchase in China. Honor has not yet shared any details on plans for a wider global release, and there is no official word on whether or when the device will be introduced in other markets, including India and the Philippines.
