Redmi Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Max Launched in China: Dimensity 8500-Ultra and 9500s, Up to 9,000mAh Battery

Redmi has launched the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max in China, introducing two performance-focused smartphones powered by MediaTek chipsets, high-refresh OLED displays, and large-capacity batteries with 100W fast charging.

Both models run Android 16 with HyperOS 3, feature a flat 1.5K OLED panel, and carry IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance ratings.

Redmi Turbo 5: Dimensity 8500-Ultra, 7,560mAh battery

The Redmi Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra (4nm) chipset, paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It comes with a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 3500 nits peak brightness, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and support for HDR10+.

For cameras, it features a 20MP OmniVision OV20B front camera, while the rear setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

The phone packs a 7,560mAh battery with 100W fast charging and supports 27W wired reverse charging. Other features include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers (1014D + 1115), an X-axis linear motor, and a 5300mm² 3D ice cooling system.

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max sits higher in the lineup, featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s (3nm) chipset with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It comes with a larger 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 3500 nits peak brightness, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Its camera setup includes the same 20MP OmniVision OV20B front camera, while the rear features a 50MP OmniVision Light Fusion 600 main sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

A major highlight is the 9,000mAh battery, paired with 100W wired charging and 27W reverse charging. The Max variant also adds an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, dual 1115F stereo speakers, a T1S signal enhancement chip, and a larger 5800mm² 3D ice cooling system.
