Developer Pearl Abyss has begun deploying a new hotfix for Crimson Desert, introducing a wave of fixes aimed at improving overall stability and gameplay experience across multiple platforms.

In a post published on X, the studio confirmed that the update is rolling out gradually and advised players to install the latest patch as soon as it becomes available to ensure the best experience.

The update follows the game’s global release on March 19, 2026 (see: Crimson Desert was launched globally on March 19, 2026) and comes shortly after the developer addressed concerns surrounding the reported use of AI-generated assets. Pearl Abyss issued a public statement acknowledging the feedback while reiterating its commitment to maintaining quality and transparency.

Patch rollout status

According to the latest update from Pearl Abyss, Patch version 1.01.01 is now live on some platforms, while others remain in progress. The update is currently available on Steam (PC) and PlayStation. Releases for Xbox, Epic Games Store, Mac App Store, and Steam (Mac) are still pending, with the company saying timelines will be shared once confirmed.

The studio also noted that Patch version 1.00.04 preceded the current update (see: Patch version 1.00.04), forming part of an ongoing effort to address early issues following launch.

Key fixes in Patch 1.01.01

The latest patch focuses primarily on bug fixes affecting gameplay mechanics, UI behavior, and mount interactions. Among the issues resolved:

  • The “Use” button for the Talisman tied to five new mounts appearing incorrectly on Damiane and Oongka has been fixed.
  • A bug where Blackstar would remain floating after death instead of disappearing has been addressed.
  • The A.T.A.G entity now properly gets destroyed when its health reaches zero.
  • An issue preventing the tempering target selection UI from appearing under certain conditions has been resolved.
  • Abnormal horse movement when following NPCs during mounted missions has been corrected.
  • Sprint functionality while riding the White Bear has been restored.
  • Control lock issues when using the “Examine” feature with the Constellation Helm have been fixed.
  • Equipment refinement problems affecting Damiane and Oongka have been resolved.

Pearl Abyss said additional updates, including platform-specific patches, are still in development and will be released in phases.

With the latest hotfix now underway, the developer is continuing to monitor feedback as Crimson Desert settles into its first weeks post-launch.
