The MIX series could be making a return. New findings from Ximitime indicate that Xiaomi is working on the Xiaomi MIX 5, with internal code revealing early details about its next “Mix series” flagship.
Entries in Xiaomi’s Mi Code reference a device with the codename “Hongkong” and model number Q5, pointing to a 2026 release and the next mainline MIX device.

The leak highlights a true full-screen display with an under-display camera, eliminating visible cutouts. Magnetic lens technology is also expected, alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip and HyperOS 4.
Unlike the Xiaomi MIX 4, which was limited to China, the MIX 5 is expected to launch globally, including India.
Xiaomi’s recent flagship activity includes the launch of the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 in June 2025, following the original Xiaomi Mix Flip in 2024. The return of a mainline MIX device would mark a shift back to the series that once led the company’s design experimentation.
Xiaomi has yet to confirm the device, but current findings point to a possible 2026 release.
