Tipped Specifications and India Launch Details Surface Ahead of Announcement
Meanwhile, verified tipster Debayan Roy shared additional details about the series on X ahead of the launch.
According to the tipster, the standard OPPO Reno 16 may feature a 6.32-inch 1.5K 120Hz flat OLED display and a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 chipset and expected to deliver better performance than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 found in the Oppo Reno 15. The device is also said to include a 6,700mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.
The higher-end OPPO Reno 16 Pro is rumored to come with a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz flat OLED display and a Dimensity 9500s processor, an upgrade from the Dimensity 8450 used in the Oppo Reno 15 Pro. It will also include a 7,000mAh battery, along with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The leak also claims that both models could feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 200-megapixel HP5 main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with OIS. Additional rumored features include a metal frame, IP69 rating, and a customizable “Plus Key.”
For India, the tipster suggested that the Reno 16 lineup may launch between June and July, potentially including the Reno 16C, Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro Mini, and Reno 16 Pro models. The OPPO Reno 16 Pro with model number CPH2863 was also reportedly spotted on BIS certification in India.
The leak further mentioned that the Reno 16 series could introduce a new “Snap Key” feature, said to function similarly to the “Plus Key” found on recent smartphones.
