New leaks surrounding the rumored “iPhone 20” suggest that Apple could be preparing one of its biggest iPhone redesigns since the launch of the iPhone X in 2017.

The information was shared by AppleLeaker on X and further discussed in a recent episode from FrontPageTech hosted by Jon Prosser on YouTube. The rumored device is expected to arrive in 2027 as part of the iPhone’s 20th anniversary lineup.

According to the leaks, the iPhone 20 may feature a quad-curved COE OLED display, under-display Face ID technology, silicon-carbon battery technology, a new LOFIC image sensor for improved HDR photography, upgraded main and ultrawide rear cameras, and Apple’s next-generation A21 Pro chipset.

The report claims the upcoming device could move away from the flat-edge industrial design Apple has used in recent years. Instead, the phone is rumored to adopt a more rounded chassis with glossy curved edges designed to blend seamlessly into the display.

Front Page Tech also claimed the display panel may use Color Filter on Encapsulation (COE) OLED technology manufactured by Samsung Electronics. The technology reportedly removes the traditional OLED polarizing layer, potentially allowing for a thinner and brighter screen.

The thinner panel could also help Apple finally implement under-display Face ID, reducing visible cutouts and bringing the iPhone closer to a true full-screen design. The leak added that Apple is reportedly working on a new anti-reflective coating to improve outdoor visibility and reduce glare.

Camera upgrades were another major point in the report. The iPhone 20 is said to feature a custom LOFIC HDR image sensor aimed at improving dynamic range performance. The sensor could work alongside the variable aperture technology rumored for future Pro iPhones.

Internally, the device is expected to use the unannounced A21 Pro chip, which is rumored to deliver improved performance and efficiency over Apple’s upcoming A20 series processors.

Battery life may also see a significant boost through silicon-carbon battery technology, which allows higher energy density without increasing the physical battery size. The report further claimed Apple is testing mobile high-bandwidth memory technology to support future on-device AI features tied to Apple Intelligence.

Additional rumors suggest Apple could finally introduce capacitive solid-state buttons on the iPhone 20 after years of speculation.

Despite the growing number of leaks, Apple has not officially confirmed the existence of the iPhone 20 or any of its rumored features. Current reports suggest the iPhone 18 is expected to retain a similar overall design to the iPhone 17, while the Apple iPhone Fold and iPhone 18 Pro are reportedly launching in 2026 as the standard iPhone 18 models could be pushed back to 2027. Since the iPhone 20 is still believed to be years away, its design and hardware details may still change before release.
