Tianma Microelectronics has announced on Weibo its new OLED display for smartphones and devices, featuring the world’s first NFB (New Fluorescent Blue) technology.

About Tianma’s New OLED Luminescent Materials
At its core exclusive NFB technology uses a dual‑layer blue emitter structure. This cuts down on wasted energy from non‑radiative paths and greatly improves blue‑light efficiency leading to better battery life and longer panel life. It also includes hardware‑based low blue light filtering right from the component level.

Complementing this is PSF or Phosphor‑Sensitized Fluorescence. It delivers purer green emission through smarter multi‑channel energy transfer solving the common trade‑off where efficiency and stability were once hard to balance in green materials.
Together NFB and PSF deliver a premium OLED that balances energy savings durability and eye safety.

Tianma latest OLED panels are already found in Honor and Oppo devices. The Oppo Find X9s Pro, for instance, features the Tianma U9 Pro display, cutting power consumption by 8 to 30 percent based on content and brightness. However, this next‑generation OLED panel is also expected to be adopted by both brands moving forward.
Rivals including TCL are also improving their OLED offerings. The Xiaomi 17 series adopts TCL CSOT’s Real RGB OLED tech, with the Xiaomi 17 Pro using inkjet‑printed (IJP) panels that were originally demonstrated as prototypes at MWC 2025.
