After teasing multiple images of the Redmi K90 Ultra, the brand announced on Weibo that the phone will debut on June 30, 2026, at 7:00 PM in China. Aside from that, it also teased some of the phone’s features and said it features an “Active Air Cooling” system and comes in a “Space Silver” color with a silver metal body.
The display also features a 6.83-inch ultra-narrow-bezel flat screen, large rounded corners, and a CNC-machined aluminum alloy frame with an anodized finish. Its design is very similar to the Redmi K90 Max, including the camera module and rear panel design.
According to data sourced from Xiaomi Lab testing (posted on Weibo), the company tested the device in a popular MOBA game against a current flagship device powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. See the results below:
Popular Mobile MOBA Game at Maximum Graphics Settings, Tested at an Ambient Temperature of 30°C, Delivers No Throttling and No Frame Drops Throughout the Entire Session.
- K90 Ultra Edition: 144.0 fps, no throttling for 180 minutes
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 Device: 132.6 fps, throttling begins after 35 minutes

The brand has not yet confirmed which processor will be used, and the full specifications have not yet been announced. However, a tipster on X claimed that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. While this is a previous-generation flagship chipset, the inclusion of an active air cooling system could help maintain gaming performance compared to some flagship phones equipped with the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 that lack active cooling.
Here are the expected key specifications and price of the phone based on leaks:
- Snapdragon 8 Elite
- Built-in active cooling fan
- Massive 8,500mAh battery
- 100W fast charging
- 1.5K OLED display with up to 165Hz refresh rate
- Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner
- IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance
- Rumored Price: under CNY 3,000
Meanwhile, the brand also debuted the K90 Supreme Edition. It features the same large-sized fan as the K90 Max air cooler, with a diameter that is 6% larger than mainstream solutions. It also boasts a vortex airflow design to reduce turbulence and maintain a low noise level of 32dB. The entire system is dustproof and waterproof, achieving a 10°C temperature drop in just 100 seconds and delivering enhanced gaming performance.
Redmi appears to be targeting gamers and power users by offering flagship-level performance in the midrange segment. The phone is now available for pre-order through Xiaomi’s official channels, including JD.com, Tmall, and Douyin. The full specifications and pricing have yet to be announced. We will provide an update once the device is officially launched.
