Xiaomi’s next-generation tablet lineup is one step closer to launch, as the Xiaomi Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro have appeared on China’s mandatory 3C certification database, revealing key charging details for both models. The listings, paired with new leaks from reputable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), paint a clear picture of a battery and multimedia-focused update for the series.

The certification confirms a clear tiered split for charging speeds. The standard Xiaomi Pad 9 supports 45W fast charging, while the Pad 9 Pro steps up to 67W fast charging, matching earlier hints from the leaker. Digital Chat Station further claims both tablets will share the same large 9720mAh battery capacity, a notable upgrade over the 9200mAh cell found in the previous-generation Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, and sized to deliver all-day use even with heavy multimedia workloads.
Under the hood, the Pad 9 series will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series platforms, with the tipster noting this generation is engineered to prioritize two core strengths:
- class-leading battery endurance
- premium multimedia experience
Performance will be split between the two variants to match their positioning, while the shared battery and display hardware will keep the user experience consistent across the lineup.
Both models are also tipped to use the same display panel. The tipster lists an 11.16-inch physical screen size, which will almost certainly be marketed as an 11.2-inch tablet for consumer naming. The panel itself is expected to be a 3.2K resolution LCD with an ultra-high refresh rate, tuned for smooth scrolling, responsive gaming, and sharp video playback to support the lineup’s multimedia focus.
Following Xiaomi’s established release pattern for its Pad series, the Xiaomi Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro are expected to make their official debut sometime between September and October 2026. Recent generations have launched alongside Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone lineup in the same window, though no exact event date has been confirmed. Global availability and pricing details have not yet been revealed, with information currently limited to the Chinese market certification and pre-launch leaks.
