Here’s what we know
The Redmi 13C 4G is expected to be the successor of the Redmi 12C, which was launched in December 2022. The smartphone has not been officially announced yet, but it has been spotted in live images and retail box by a tipster. The leaked images show the design and some of the key features of the upcoming device.
According to a report by Newzonly, the tipster Paras Guglani shared the live images and retail box of the Redmi 13C 4G on Twitter. The phone is seen in three colour options – black, blue, and green. The front panel has a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, while the back panel has a triple camera setup in two circular modules. The volume and power buttons are on the right edge of the phone.
The report also reveals some of the specifications of the Redmi 13C 4G, which are also mentioned on the protective film on the phone’s screen. The phone is said to feature a 6.71-inch HD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate, a touch sampling rate of 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 500 nits. It is likely to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC and run on Android 12-based MIUI 13. The phone is expected to come in three RAM and storage variants – 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB.
The Redmi 13C 4G is also said to have a 50-megapixel primary rear camera and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. The phone is expected to have a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. The report claims that the phone will cost less than $100 (roughly Rs. 8,300) in some regions and will be launched by November this year.
The Redmi 13C 4G could be a rebranded version of the Poco C65, which is also rumoured to launch soon in some markets. The Poco C65 is said to have similar specifications and design as the Redmi 13C 4G.
The Redmi 12C, which was launched last year, starts at Rs. 9,999 for its base variant of 4GB + 128GB. It has a 6.71-inch HD+ LCD display, a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging.
