Here’s what we know
The Poco C65, a new smartphone from Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco, is launching on November 5. The device is rumored to be a rebranded version of the Redmi 13C, which was leaked online in September.
The device has recently received the IMDA certification from Singapore, which indicates that it is ready for launch in the global market. The IMDA certification also confirms some of the features of the POCO C65, such as Bluetooth, NFC, and a 50MP rear camera.
The display will feature a 6.74-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. It will run on a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
The phone will also have a 50MP triple camera system on the rear, a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, and Android 13 with MIUI 14 as the operating system.
The Phone will be available in two variants: 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. The company has announced the early bird pricing for the device, which is $109 (PHP6,160) for the base model and $129 (PHP7,292) for the higher-end model. These prices are likely to increase after the launch date. The Poco C65 will be sold globally through online channels.
The Poco C65 is aimed at the budget-conscious consumers who want a smartphone with decent performance, smooth display, and long-lasting battery life. The device will compete with other affordable phones in the market, such as the Samsung Galaxy A54, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12, and the Realme Narzo 35. The Poco C65 will also benefit from the popularity of the Poco brand, which has gained a loyal fan base since its inception in 2018.
The Poco C65 launch event will be streamed live on X (formerly Twitter) on November 5 at 12:00 PM GMT. You can follow the official Poco Global account for more updates and details about the device.
