    In an exclusive leak, high-resolution renders of the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro have surfaced, offering a sneak peek into its complete design. The leaked renders indicate that the design of the ROG Phone 8 Pro closely resembles its predecessor, the ROG Phone 7.

    Design and Features

    The leaked renders showcase the ROG Phone 8 Pro in an elegant black color variant, although other color options might be available upon release. The device boasts a centrally-positioned punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera, slim bezels surrounding the screen, and a sleek flat-edged profile, exuding a contemporary and stylish aesthetic. Conveniently located on the right edge are the volume rocker and power button, ensuring easy access to essential functions.

    Moving to the rear of the phone, we observe a square-shaped camera module housing triple camera sensors and an LED flash. The module also features the iconic ‘ROG’ text at the bottom, emphasizing its gaming heritage. Notably, the phone showcases special LED dots on the back panel, which can be customized to display various logos, adding a distinctive touch to its design.

    Specifications

    The ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro is expected to sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ SAMSUNG Flexible AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support, LTPO technology, and other advanced enhancements. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, coupled with an Adreno GPU. Rumor has it that the phone will offer an impressive 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a capacious 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

    Software and Camera

    Running on the Android 14-based ROG UI custom skin, the ROG Phone 8 Pro promises a seamless and optimized user experience. In terms of the camera setup, it is anticipated to feature a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32MP camera with 3X optical zoom. For selfie enthusiasts, a 32MP front camera is expected to be onboard.

    Battery and Connectivity

    Equipped with a robust 5,500mAh battery, the ROG Phone 8 Pro will support 65W fast charging technology, ensuring minimal downtime during intense gaming sessions. Additionally, it is rumored to carry an IP68 rating, certifying its resistance against water and dust. In terms of connectivity, the phone will support 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6/6E, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging.

    Launch Details

    The ASUS ROG Phone 8 series is scheduled to make its debut on January 16th in China. Apart from the ROG Phone 8 Pro, the lineup is expected to include the vanilla ROG Phone 8 and possibly an Ultimate model.
