ASUS announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the Zenfone 12 Ultra will launch on February 6, 2025, at 2:30 PM GMT+8 (approximately 2:30 PM Taiwan time). Speculation suggests the device may be a rebranded ROG Phone 9, mirroring the relationship between the Zenfone 11 Ultra and ROG Phone 8.
Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra Possible Key Specifications
Since reports suggest the Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra will be a rebranded ROG Phone 9, we can anticipate the phone will sport a 6.78-inch (2400×1080 pixels) Samsung Flexible AMOLED display, with a 1–120Hz LTPO refresh rate, Always-On display support, and up to 2,500 nits peak brightness.
The camera system reportedly features a 50MP Sony LYT-700 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP 3x telephoto lens. Based on the shared photo, ASUS confirms 4K video recording with a focus lock feature, enabling users to maintain focus on moving subjects.

Under the hood, we expect the phone to be powered by a 4.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship processor. We also expect memory options of 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 of storage.
These are the anticipated key specifications for the Zenfone 12 Ultra, which may share similarities with the ROG Phone 9. However, there is a possibility of additional features, omissions, or variations in specifications. For precise details, we await the official launch. Pre-launch teasers may offer glimpses of the official design and comprehensive specifications.
