The Energizer Ultimate U660S is the latest product from Avenir Telcom, a French company that licenses the Energizer brand for mobile devices.
They unveiled this phone at the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, Spain.
The device is a clamshell foldable smartphone, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
However, the phone has a midrange processor that are not like the usual foldable or flip phones today. Let’s take a closer look at what this phone has to offer.
Display and Design
The main attraction of the Energizer Ultimate U660S is its 6.67-inch punch-hole OLED display that folds vertically in the middle.
The screen has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) and a possible refresh rate of 90Hz to 120Hz. This means you can enjoy smooth and crisp visuals on a large screen that fits in your pocket.
The device also has a secondary display on the back, near the camera module. This display can show notifications, time, battery status, and other useful information.
The phone has a sleek and elegant design, with a metal frame and a glass back. It comes in two colors: black and silver. It also has a fingerprint scanner on the side for easy unlocking.
Performance and Battery
The Energizer Ultimate U660S is powered by the (6nm) MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, a processor that is designed for a decent performance and multitasking in the budget segment.
This chip is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which should be enough for most users. On the other hand, the phone runs on Android 14 operating system.
The phone has only 3,400mAh battery, which is quite small for a foldable smartphone. However, the phone supports fast charging and wireless charging, so you can top up your battery quickly and conveniently.
Camera and Price
The device has a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 25MP selfie sensor. It also has a dual-LED flash and a laser autofocus system.
The phone has a price of €499 or around (PHP30k). However, the phone will not be available until November, so you will have to wait a bit longer to get your hands on it.
