Samsung is reportedly testing the Exynos 2600, including its GPU performance. Leaks suggest the GPU is confirmed to use the Xclipse 960 RDNA4 with a configuration of 8 cores and up to 1.2GHz, delivering 19 TFLOPS of power. The engineering test uses the new LPDDR6X RAM at 12,800 MT/s with a 384-bit memory bus.
However, the LPDDR6X and 384-bit bus bandwidth are not final; they are used on the test board of the 2600 to push its theoretical limits and for engineering stress tests. In 3DMark Steel Nomad Light, it scored 3,435 points / 23 fps, which is 15% faster than the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The GFXBench Aztec Offscreen achieved 42.7 fps with only 6% throttling after 12 minutes. The results are below:
- 8 cores, up to 1.2 GHz • ~19 TFLOPS power
- LPDDR6X @ 12,800 MT/s • 384-bit memory bus
Performance (engineering tests):
- 3DMark Steel Nomad Light: 3,435 pts / 23 fps → ≈15% faster than Snapdragon 8 Elite
- GFXBench Aztec Offscreen: 42.7 fps → only 6% throttling after 12 min
Thermals & Stability:
- Peak temp ≈ 88 °C under load
- Throttling starts around 85-90 °C
- 94% stability over 20 min loop (vapor-chamber setup)
The latest Geekbench 6.4.0 result shows a single-core score of 3,955 points and a multi-core score of 12,021 points.
- Single-Core Score: 3,955
- Multi-Core Score: 12,021
The CPU configuration of the Exynos 2600, model number S5E9965, has also been revealed, featuring a Cortex-X930 prime core, Cortex A730 performance cores, and Cortex A730S efficiency cores. Previously, reports indicated that the chip would be fabricated on a 2nm Gate-All-Around (GAA) process.
- Model: S5E9965
- Software: Android-16 (One UI 8.5)
- RAM: 12 GB LPDDR5X
- Build type: Engineering test firmware (EVT)
CPU Configuration:
- 1 × ARM Cortex-X930 @ 3.80 GHz (prime)
- 3 × ARM Cortex-A730 @ 3.26 GHz (performance)
- 6 × ARM Cortex-A730S @ 2.76 GHz (efficiency)
Samsung is still deciding between the Exynos 2600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for the Galaxy S26 series. During the company’s Q3 2025 earnings call, Samsung stated that it is still evaluating its next flagship’s application processor (AP) options. This means both the Exynos 2600 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 remain in consideration. While Samsung didn’t directly name either processor, leaks and rumors have long linked the Exynos 2600 with the Galaxy S26 series.
