A possible release date for Forza Horizon 6 has emerged following what appears to be an in-game notification spotted by players, suggesting the racing title could arrive on May 19, 2026.
The information was shared on X by Xbox-focused account XBOX INFINITE, which posted screenshots of a pop-up notification that allegedly appeared inside Forza Horizon 5. The message promotes Forza Horizon 6 pre-orders and states that early access will begin on May 15, four days ahead of the standard release.
XBOX INFINITE later addressed questions in the replies, saying the notification appeared after exiting the garage and before starting the car delivery sequence.
“It appeared when I left the garage and before I started taking delivery of my car,” Xbox Infinite said in a reply on X. – XBOXF10 on X
Based on the timing shown in the notification, Forza Horizon 6 would launch on May 19, putting the release in the second quarter of 2026. That would mark a shift from earlier expectations last year, when the game was widely believed to be targeting a first-quarter release after its official trailer was revealed.
The notification describes Forza Horizon 6 as the series’ largest open-world entry so far, set in Japan and featuring more than 550 licensed vehicles. It also mentions a pre-order bonus that includes an exclusive pre-tuned Ferrari J50.
Additional details in the pop-up reference a Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade option, which would grant early access alongside extra content such as VIP Membership, a Welcome Pack, Car Pass, Time Attack and Italian Passion car packs, and two premium expansions planned for release after launch.

Microsoft and developer Playground Games have not confirmed the authenticity of the notification or announced an official release date. Neither company has commented publicly on the reported leak.
Forza Horizon is one of Xbox’s most successful franchises. Its latest main entry, Forza Horizon 5, launched in 2021 and continues to receive updates. An official announcement on Forza Horizon 6 is still expected in the coming months.
