The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is set to be released next year according to reliable leakers. It is the direct predecessor of Samsung’s current flagship, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The phone is expected to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 set to launch this year.
Galaxy S25 Ultra Specs (Leaks)
According to reliable leakers, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to have a 6.9-inch LTPO Quad HD+ Amoled 2X display with up to 3,000 nits peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is almost identical to its predecessor, but its peak brightness has increased from 2,600 on the Galaxy S24 Ultra to 3,000 nits.
As mentioned above, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 supported by 12GB to 16GB of RAM and may support LPDDR6 depending on the variant. The internal storage options include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants.
In terms of the camera, it features a 200MP main sensor, a new 50MP smaller sensor for the ultra-wide, and a new 50MP larger sensor with a 3X telephoto lens, potentially expandable to 6X and 5X as options according to an Ice Universe post, which has since been deleted. The new camera configuration is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, with the main camera sensor being the only component unchanged.
Reports also suggest that the materials used will include an enhanced Titanium frame and the latest Gorilla Glass armor. The software will run on the latest Android 15 with One UI 7.1 and new Galaxy AI features.
Additionally, a standout feature of the Galaxy S25 Ultra is its offering of up to 7 years of OS and security upgrades. The potential pricing of the phone is expected to be around a $100-300 increase from its predecessor, but this may vary by region.
