GTA 6 is reportedly working on the latest version of its mapping project. According to a tipster on X (formerly twitter), it is estimated to be 2.1x bigger than GTA 5’s map. Vice City is also expected to be much more densely populated and 2x bigger than Los Santos in GTA 5.

GTA 6 will currently have 6 main map locations:
- Vice City: A vibrant metropolis serving as the main urban hub, inspired by Miami.
- Leonida Keys: A region of extensive swamps and marshlands, inspired by the Everglades.
- Grassrivers: A coastal area described as a neglected former vacation spot with a high crime rate.
- Port Gellhorn: A coastal industrial port (note: corrected to avoid duplication with Grassrivers’ description).
- Ambrosia: An industrial area featuring factories and a large sugar refinery.
- Mount Kalaga National Park: A natural area with diverse wildlife and terrain, providing a change of pace from urban environments.
To recall, Grand Theft Auto 6 has been officially delayed twice from its initial projected launch window and is now scheduled for a single, official release date of November 19, 2026.
According to the developers’ statement, the release date was adjusted because they need additional time to finish the game and meet the high level of polish that players expect and deserve.
