HMD Global has officially announced the HMD Arc smartphone, a budget-friendly offering in Thailand. The phone is now listed on HMD’s official website, indicating the specs and features of the phone. However, the price and availability have not yet been revealed by the company.
HMD Arc Smartphone Features
The phone features a 6.52-inch IPS LCD panel with HD 1280 x 576 resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The phone combines a repairable design with a removable battery and comes in shadow black and purple colorways. The dimensions are 166.4 mm height, 8.95 mm depth, 76.9 mm width, and weighs about 185 grams.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by a 1.6GHz 28nm UNISOC 9863A octa-core chip with an IMG8322 GPU. The memory comes in 4GB of RAM and 64GB ROM with features like extended RAM and expandable storage via microSD.
At the back panel, the phone sports a square camera island that houses a 13MP main shooter, while on the front is a 5MP teardrop selfie camera.
The phone is running on Android 14 (Go Edition). Other features include support for a 3.5mm audio jack, an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Additionally, the phone features Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, dual nano SIM with 4G LTE connectivity, and is fueled by a 5,000mAh battery with only a 10W charging speed.
The company promises that the phone will be a budget-friendly smartphone in Thailand. However, the price and availability of the phone have not yet been announced by the company.
