Honor has confirmed it will launch the Honor Magic 8 series, including the Magic 8 Pro Air, in China. According to reports, the launch date is set for January 19, 2026, as per their post on Weibo. The phone features a lightweight and compact design, with a 6.31-inch display, measuring 6.3mm thin and weighing 158 grams.

It also reportedly comes with triple 50MP cameras (including a telephoto lens), runs on Android 16 with MagicOS 10, and packs a massive 5,500mAh battery. Despite its large battery size, it maintains a slim profile by implementing silicon-carbon battery technology. The device is said to support 80W wired fast charging, though no word has been given yet on whether it will feature wireless charging.

Under the hood, the phone is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. Meanwhile, Honor has started sharing impressive photos captured with the Honor Magic 8 Pro on Weibo for the #ChinaAtNight image collection event, highlighting its 200MP ultra-night telephoto camera. The images are impressive, especially in low-light conditions. Here are sample photos taken with the Honor Magic 8 Pro:

While the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air has been confirmed to launch on January 19, no details have been announced yet on when it will be released in global markets – especially here in the Philippines. The brand typically brings midrange models to the country, such as the recently launched Honor X9d, which focuses on durability.
