The Huawei Mate 70 Air features a classic and aesthetic design with a slim profile, measuring 165 x 81.5 x 6.6mm and weighing 208g. It is also protected by Kunlun Glass for enhanced durability, making it 10x more shatter-resistant.
It has a 7-inch Quad-Curved OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen lights up to 4,000 nits peak brightness and features 2160Hz PWM dimming for eye protection.
Under the hood, the 12GB RAM model is powered by the Kirin 9020B, while the 16GB RAM model uses the Kirin 9020A. The phone runs on Harmony OS 5.1 and is paired with Harmony AI features, also supporting BeiDou satellite messaging.
For the cameras, it uses a 50MP main lens (1/1.3″, OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens (3x, OIS) + multi-spectral red-maple color sensor. On the front, it houses a punch-hole 10.7MP selfie shooter.
Fueling the device is a massive 6,500mAh battery with 66W fast charging. Despite its large battery capacity, it maintains its slim form factor due to its silicon-carbon technology.
Connectivity features include support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB 2.0, and Star Flash. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, a large VC cooling system, and an IP68/69 rating for water and dust resistance.
The Huawei Mate 70 Air is currently available in China and can be purchased at their official online stores. There are no words yet on when it will be available globally, but we will await an official announcement regarding its release in the Philippines.
