Huawei has confirmed the upcoming launch of the Nova Y73 in the Philippines via a post on its official Facebook page. The device is slated for release on June 20, 2025, marking the brand’s latest effort to expand its entry-level smartphone offerings in the country. It is now listed on Shopee and Lazada, but the official price has not yet been announced.

Key Features and Specifications

The Nova Y73 boasts a 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution (1604 × 720 pixels). The display peaks at 1,000 nits brightness for improved visibility under direct sunlight and supports wet touch functionality, allowing usability even with wet hands.

Huawei emphasizes a sleek aesthetic with the Nova Y73’s Dynamic Plaid Texture Design and Double Star Orbit Rings on the rear panel. Measuring 166.05 mm × 76.58 mm × 8.25 mm and weighing 203 grams, the device will be available in Black, Gold, and Green color options, featuring a water ripple effect on the back.

Powering the device is the Kirin 710A chipset paired with a Mali-G51 MC4 GPU. It offers 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The phone runs on EMUI 12, based on Android 12, though Huawei has not clarified whether it will ship with Android 14 or 15.

The rear camera system includes a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, supporting image resolutions up to 8192 × 6144 pixels and 1080p video recording. The front-facing 8MP selfie camera (f/2.0) features modes like Night Shot, Portrait Shooting, and High-Res Photography.

A 6,620mAh battery fuels the Nova Y73, coupled with 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge via USB-C. Huawei claims the device delivers up to 1.2 days of video playback or 2.6 days of continuous music playback on a single charge.

The phone carries a five-star drop-resistance certification from SGS for drops up to 1.8 meters and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Additional features include NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a Type-C earjack.

Although the exact price remains undisclosed, Huawei has confirmed the Nova Y73 will launch in the Philippines on June 20, 2025. Further details will be available closer to the launch date.
