Infinix is reportedly preparing to launch a new affordable smartphone, called the Infinix Smart 8. The device has been leaked on twitter, showing some of its key features and design. The Infinix Smart 8 will be the successor of the Smart 7, which was released earlier this year. The new phone is expected to offer some significant upgrades over its predecessor.
Key Specifications
Previously, some of the specifications of the Infinix Smart 8 have been revealed by the googleplay console listing. According to the listing, the phone will have a large 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging. The phone will also have a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera with dynamic island. The display will have a fluid 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming.
Inside, the Infinix Smart 8 will be powered by a Unisoc T606 chipset, which is a 12nm octa-core processor with 4G LTE connectivity. The phone will come with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. The phone will run on Android 13 operating system with XOS 13 skin on top.
As for the cameras, the Infinix Smart 8 will sport a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 13MP main sensor and a 0.3MP depth sensor. The rear cameras will have a ring light LED flash, HDR, and panorama modes. The front camera will be a 5MP sensor with an LED flash. The phone will also have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Infinix Smart 8 expected to have a glass front, a plastic back, and a plastic frame. The phone will be available in green and other colors. The dimensions of the phone will be 164 x 76 x 9 mm and the weight will be unknown. The price and availability of the phone are not confirmed yet, but we expect to hear more about it soon.
