Apple is reportedly preparing to expand its product lineup in 2026, with the 12th-generation iPad among the expected releases. Leaks from Japanese tech publications have surfaced online, pointing to a possible launch timeline and early specifications for the device.

According to Appletusugosu, the iPad 12th Gen is expected to launch in spring 2026, between March and May. The report also claims the tablet could start at around $349 for the 128GB storage variant, matching the price of the current model.

While Apple has yet to confirm any details, leaked information suggests the upcoming iPad will retain the same design as the 11th-generation model. It is also tipped to receive a performance upgrade and expanded memory support.

Expected key specifications include:

  • Same body and design as the current iPad (11th Gen / A16)
  • 11-inch Retina LCD display
  • A18 chipset
  • 8GB RAM
  • Full Apple Intelligence support

Macotakara, another Japan-based tech outlet, has shared similar claims, including the reported increase to 8GB of RAM. Separately, tipster @MrTechpedia on X published a product roadmap indicating the iPad 12th Gen is planned for an early 2026 release window.

As with all pre-launch reports, these details should be taken with a grain of salt. Apple has not officially confirmed the specifications, pricing, or launch timeline, and the final details may change ahead of the device’s formal announcement.
