Indian smartphone brand Lava Mobile has launched its latest budget 5G devices, the Lava Storm Lite 5G and the Lava Storm Play, on 19th June at 12 PM IST. The phone will be available exclusively on Amazon India, starting at an aggressive price of ₹7,999 for the base variant. Positioned as a performance-centric device, it debuts as the first smartphone in India powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 processor, promising midrange-level speeds at an affordable price.
Key Features and Specifications
The Lava Storm Lite 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, ideal for gaming, streaming, and multitasking. The high refresh rate ensures fluid scrolling and responsive touch controls, while the large screen size enhances media consumption.
At its core lies the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 5G processor, a first for the Indian market. Paired with 4GB of physical RAM and an additional 4GB of virtual RAM, the device delivers seamless multitasking. Storage options include 64GB and 128GB variants, expandable via microSD. The chipset’s prowess is reflected in its 410,000+ AnTuTu score, rivaling mid-range competitors.
The phone sports a 50MP Sony IMX752 rear sensor, promising sharp and vibrant photos even in low-light conditions. On the software front, it runs stock Android 15 with no bloatware, ensuring a clutter-free experience and faster updates.
