Apple introduced iOS 26 at WWDC on June 9th, 2025, and the beta was immediately available to registered Apple developers. The official stable version of iOS 26 is scheduled for release later this year, around September. However, the public beta will roll out earlier, in July 2025, and will be available to all iPhone users through the Apple Beta Software Program.
The iOS 26 features include a new lock screen design, camera and messaging updates, and a new look design called “Liquid Glass,” codenamed “Solarium.” This new UI design introduces sleek glass-style transparency, floating nav bars for cleaner views, and lively animated icons. The search bar has also moved to the bottom for easier access, and the icon is now circular, similar to other Android operating systems.
