HMD Global, the company behind Nokia phones, has recently launched a new website, “hmd.com,” and discontinued the old “nokia.com/phones” link. This marks the end of an era for Nokia mobile phones, which once ruled the market but have since faded into obscurity.

But HMD Global is not giving up on the Nokia brand. Instead, it is reinventing it with a fresh and modern look. The company plans to release a range of new products in the first half of this year, including smartphones, feature phones, and tablets. These devices will sport HMD’s logo and design, rather than Nokia’s, to differentiate them from the past.

HMD Global will also leverage Nokia’s technology and patents in the communications field, as part of its strategic partnership with the Finnish giant. This will enable the company to offer cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions to its customers, according to Ravi Kunwar, vice president of HMD Global.

The company’s target markets are India and Asia, where it hopes to capture a large share of the mobile users. It will also make its products available in Europe and the US, where it faces stiff competition from other brands. Kunwar said that HMD Global’s vision is to create a comprehensive product ecosystem that includes not only phones and tablets, but also IoT devices and premium services.

Industry experts believe that HMD Global’s move to rebrand and distance itself from Nokia’s legacy is a smart and necessary step. They expect the company to create a distinct identity and foster innovation in the mobile market, which is constantly changing and evolving. HMD Global’s move shows its commitment to adapt to the changing consumer preferences and stay ahead of the curve in the mobile technology world.
