After much anticipation and speculation, Nothing, the London-based startup founded by Carl Pei, has finally confirmed the existence of the Nothing Phone 2a (read). While the company has not yet announced a specific release date, they recently shared this exciting news on X (formerly Twitter).
In a post, Nothing stated, “See the world through fresh eyes, Phone (2a) is coming.” Additionally, a new page on the official Nothing website echoes this message, although it does not provide a exact release date.
By acknowledging the Nothing Phone 2a, the company aims to offer a more affordable option compared to their flagship Nothing Phone 2. Fans and tech enthusiasts can now look forward to the upcoming release of this budget-friendly device.
Nothing Phone (2a) Key Specifications
The Nothing Phone is set to impress with its stunning 6.7″ FHD+ AMOLED display. Featuring a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The phone running on Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 on top.
For camera’s the phone equipped with a 50MP Samsung GN9 OIS and a 50MP JN1 rear camera for ultrawide lens. For selfie camera, the phone features a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor.
The Phone is available in two elegant color options: Black and White. With its sleek and minimalist design, this device exudes sophistication and style.
The phone is expected to be a mid-range device, and the starting version (8GB/128GB) might cost (EUR 400) around PHP24,278.96 (direct conversion, not official).
