Nubia is reportedly working on its next flagship device, possibly called the Nubia Z60 or the Red Magic 9 series. The phone is expected to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and an upgraded under-screen camera technology.
According to a leak from the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the Nubia Z60 or the Red Magic 9 will be one of the first phones to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is expected to be announced in October. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is said to be manufactured using a 4nm process and have a 1+5+2 core configuration, with a maximum clock speed of 3.75 GHz.

The Nubia Z60 or the Red Magic 9 will also feature an under-screen camera solution, which will allow the front-facing camera to be hidden behind the display panel, creating a truly bezel-less and notch-less screen. The under-screen camera technology has been developed by Visionox, a Chinese display company, which claims to offer high transparency and low interference for both the screen and the camera.
The device will likely have a high refresh rate AMOLED display, a large battery with fast charging support, and a premium design. The phone may also have a dedicated gaming mode and features, as Nubia is known for its Red Magic series of gaming smartphones.
The exact name, launch date, and price of the Nubia Z60 or the Red Magic 9 are still unknown, but we can expect more details to emerge in the coming weeks. The phone will likely compete with other flagship devices from Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and others in the global market.
