OnePlus has confirmed the global launch of the OnePlus Nord 5, alongside its lower-model Nord CE5 and OnePlus Buds 4. Reports indicate a debut in India and Europe at a “Summer Launch Event” on July 8th, 2025, at 2 PM IST (India) / 10:30 AM CEST (Europe). There is no word yet on Philippine availability.
Key Features and Specifications
The phone sports a 6.83-inch OLED display, adaptive 144Hz refresh rate, 1.5K (2800 x 1272) resolution at 420 PPI, and PWM dimming for eye protection.
Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 octa-core processor and Adreno GPU. The phone runs on Android 15 with OxygenOS 15 on top and boasts AI features.
For cameras, it features a 50MP Sony LYT700 sensor with OIS + 8MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP Samsung JN5 multi-focus selfie camera. Video recording capabilities support 4K at 60 fps, both front and back, a significant upgrade compared to previous models.
For the battery, it packs a 6,700mAh capacity (Indian variant), 5200mAh (global variant, tentative) with 80W SuperVOOC charging. Other features include Cryo-Velocity VC cooling with 7,300 mm², and an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance.
