OPPO A2m has been spotted on the China Telecom listing ahead of its official launch. The listing reveals the full specifications, design renders, and price of the device.
According to the listing, the OPPO A2m will feature a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a waterdrop notch that houses a 5MP selfie camera. The back panel of the phone will sport a single 13MP camera with an LED flash. The right side of the phone will have a power button that also serves as a fingerprint scanner.
The OPPO A2m will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which is a 7nm octa-core processor with 5G support. The phone will come in three variants: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The storage can be further expanded via a microSD card slot.
The phone will run on Android 13 out of the box, likely with ColorOS on top. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery that may support fast charging. The connectivity options will include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and dual SIM support.
The OPPO A2m will be available in two color options: Starry Night Black and Flying Frost Purple. The listing also reveals the price of the phone, which is expected to be CNY 1,699 (around PHP 13,300) for the base model, CNY 1,899 (around PHP 14,900) for the mid-tier model, and CNY 2,099 (around PHP 16,500) for the top-end model.
The OPPO A2m is expected to launch soon in China, along with another A-series phone called the OPPO A2x. The latter has already been launched earlier this month and has similar specifications as the A2m, except for a different Dimensity chipset and a dual rear camera setup.
The OPPO A-series phones are known for offering decent performance and features at an affordable price range. The OPPO A2m and A2x will compete with other budget-friendly 5G phones in the market, such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 and the Realme V23.
