POCO is reportedly crafting a new addition to its C-series lineup, possibly following the footsteps of the POCO C51 that was introduced in April of the previous year. The upcoming POCO C61, which was recently spotted on the Play Supported Devices list, has now made its appearance on the Google Play Console listing, offering a sneak peek into its design and key features.
POCO C61 Specs
With the model number 2312BPC51H, the POCO C61 showcases a sleek design with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout, and a screen bordered by thin bezels, as per the render in the certification. The power and volume rocker buttons are conveniently located on the right side. The smartphone will boast a display resolution of 720 x 1,650 pixels and a screen density of 320 DPI.
Diving deeper into the hardware, the Google Play Console listing reveals that the POCO C61 is equipped with an SoC codenamed MediaTek MT6765X. This includes four Cortex-A53 cores clocking at 2.2GHz and another four Cortex-A53 cores operating at 1.6GHz, indicating that the chipset could likely be Helio G36. The smartphone is expected to feature 4GB RAM and will come with Android 14 OS pre-installed.
While the complete details of the POCO C61 are still under wraps, the device has already secured Bluetooth SIG and BIS certifications. There are ongoing speculations that the smartphone could be a rebranded version of the Redmi A3 that was launched in India recently, given that it is powered by the same processor as the forthcoming C61. However, some minor differences could be expected. This wouldn’t be a surprise as POCO’s C-series phones have often been rebranded versions of Redmi phones.
