Poco has launched the Poco M8 5G smartphone in India. The new handset is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and features a 108-megapixel primary camera, a large battery, and 5G connectivity.
The Phone comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display offering a Full HD+ resolution of 2392 × 1080 pixels. The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and delivers up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness. The device is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Storage expansion is supported via a microSD card of up to 1TB.
In terms of optics, the smartphone features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 108MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, it houses a 20MP camera for selfies and video calls.
The phone is equipped with a 5,520mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging, along with 18W wired reverse charging. It runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 out of the box. Poco has confirmed that the device will receive four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
The device dimensions measures 164 × 75.42 × 7.35mm for the Black and Glacier Blue variants, while the Frost Silver version is slightly thicker at 7.40mm. The device weighs 178 grams.
Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, an IR blaster, and support for dual SIM 5G. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. The phone carries MIL-STD-810H certification and comes with IP65 and IP66 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Price and Availability
The Poco M8 5G is priced in India at:
- ₹21,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant
- ₹22,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant
- Rs 24,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant
The smartphone will be available in Glacier Blue, Black, and Frost Silver color options. Sales will begin on January 13 through Flipkart and offline retail stores.
As part of the launch offers, buyers can avail of a Rs 2,000 discount on ICICI Bank credit or debit card transactions. Alternatively, customers can opt for an exchange offer of up to Rs 20,000 along with no-cost EMI options for up to six months.
