Rockstar Games has announced a landmark expansion for two beloved titles: Red Dead Redemption and its zombie-horror spin-off Undead Nightmare will debut on iOS, Android, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2. This release brings enhanced visuals, performance upgrades, and cross-platform accessibility, inviting both longtime fans and newcomers to experience the Wild West like never before.

Relive John Marston’s Legendary Journey—Now Optimized for Modern Platforms

The re-releases include the complete single-player campaigns of both games, along with bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition. Players will step into the boots of John Marston, the iconic protagonist whose quest to escape his outlaw past unfolds in the aftermath of Red Dead Redemption 2. Meanwhile, Undead Nightmare reimagines the frontier as a survival horror battleground, tasking players with halting a ravenous zombie plague.

    Mobile Debut: Play Anywhere, Anytime

For the first time, Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare will be available on iOS and Android devices, complete with mobile-optimized touch controls. Netflix subscribers can also download both titles at no extra cost starting December 2, making the games a standout addition to the platform’s growing gaming library.

    Next-Gen Enhancements: 4K, 60 FPS, and Cutting-Edge Features

Console players will enjoy significant upgrades:

    • PS5 & Xbox Series X|S: Smooth 60 FPS gameplay, 4K resolution, HDR support, and improved image quality.
    • Nintendo Switch 2: Leveraging the new hardware, the Switch 2 version boasts DLSS upscaling, HDR, mouse control compatibility, and 60 FPS performance at high resolutions.

Owners of the PS4, original Nintendo Switch, or Xbox One (via backward compatibility) can upgrade digitally for free, with save data transfers available for PS4-to-PS5 and Switch-to-Switch 2 transitions.

    Expanded Access via Subscription Services

In collaboration with Double Eleven Studios and Cast Iron Games, Rockstar has ensured broader accessibility. Both titles will join the GTA+ Games Library and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on launch day, offering subscribers instant access to these revitalized classics.

    Why This Release Matters

This re-release bridges the gap between Rockstar’s storied past and modern gaming expectations. By optimizing Red Dead Redemption for cutting-edge hardware and mobile platforms, the studio ensures John Marston’s saga remains timeless. The inclusion of Undead Nightmare further diversifies the offering, appealing to fans of both Western epics and zombie survival genres.

    Prepare for Launch: December 2

Mark your calendars for December 2 to saddle up on your platform of choice. Whether revisiting the dusty trails of New Austin or battling the undead hordes, this enhanced edition promises to deliver the definitive Red Dead experience—sharper, smoother, and more immersive than ever.

For updates, follow Rockstar Games’ official website and stay tuned for pre-load details on mobile and console storefronts. The frontier awaits—don’t miss your chance to ride again.
