The RedMagic brand, a subsidiary of Nubia, focuses on providing gaming smartphones and accessories for avid gamers. While their product lineup extends beyond mobile gaming to include monitors and input devices, the Shadow Blade 2 specifically caters to smartphone gaming enthusiasts.
The Shadow Blade 2 features a conventional design where a smartphone is inserted into the controller and connected via USB Type-C. This connection ensures low latency and eliminates the need for a separate battery. Additionally, the controller includes a 3.5-millimeter jack output for audio connectivity.
Equipped with two analog sticks, a directional pad, and action buttons, the Shadow Blade 2 offers a familiar gaming control layout. The inclusion of hall sensors provides precise and responsive input. The controller also boasts four shoulder buttons and two additional buttons on the back, allowing for versatile gameplay options.
